Since the 1980's, Apple Blossom Florists has designed wedding flowers for many hundreds of couples. We have seen a lot of change over that time. Nowadays a vast selection of flowers is readily available, and wedding flower design mechanics have improved. We've seen styles come and go, then return. Traditions get updated to keep them relevant. Couples are older, and have developed their own style and tastes along the way.
We can imagine how frustrating it must be to plan the perfect wedding from a distance! Often the bride and groom have careers and a life in a distant city but are returning ‘home' for this grand event in their lives. We aim with this web site to help you focus the planning time you spend of this special event. View our rental hardware and imagine how it can set the scene for your ceremony and reception. Consider our bouquet designs and conjure up a vision of your perfect wedding flowers!
Timeline for ordering Wedding Flowers
Most often brides wait until the bride's and bridesmaids' gowns are confirmed, and a colour harmony is established, before consulting their florist. Several months before the wedding date is not too soon, especially if there are decoration rentals required. Many details can be confirmed closer to the wedding. We can accommodate bridal parties up to two weeks before the ceremony, which is our special order deadline. Helpful details and things to bring to the consultation:
Colour swatches of the wedding party attire
Pictures of the gowns and tuxedos
A list of family & friends requiring flowers to wear
Ceremony time & place
Ceremony decorations - candelabra, floral arrangements, pew markers, unity candle
Will there be photographs outdoors?
Reception site & time
Theme (if any) for the reception - Western, Swans, Hearts, Victorian, etc.
Decorations for the head table - garland, bouquet holders, candles, centrepieces, etc.
Ethnic design elements such as special breads or ornaments that will be on display
Wedding Cake layer sizes and height of pillars, if flowers on the cake are desired
Number of guest tables expected
Will you need a toss bouquet
